Our unique GeoTrailsTM can turn a walk into an exciting treasure trail
in which all the family can participate.
If you:
- like walking in the countryside
- would like to be able to follow trails new to you
- enjoy treasure hunts
- are interested in Geocaching and GPS or just navigation in general
- would like to be able to test and improve your navigation skills
- think you could contribute to this sport
Then our GeoTrailsTM will interest you. They are unique in that they combine all these interests into one package; they have proved popular with those attending our GPS training courses, our friends and our families. We hope you enjoy them too!
Most of our trails are in the beautiful Lake District although as time goes on we hope to have trails further-a-field. Our trails have been featured in "Trail" magazine, were a key activity at the recent "Head for the Hills" festival, appear in each edition of "Lakeland Walker" magazine, will be the star attraction at our forthcoming "Let's Go Geocaching" events in 2006, and will be available in spring 2006 as a series of trails linked to Jennings Brewery's "Cumberland Ale" brand.
Cumberland Ale Geotrails
We have chosen ten Pubs in Cumbria to host these specially commissioned trails, each one is a great walk in its own right, with the added bonus of the opportunity to win "Beer for a Year"
Geotrails within Cumbria
For you to download free each one has been either created by the Geotrailing team or submitted by one of our readers.
Geotrails outside Cumbria
Although we think Cumbria is the centre of the universe we do realise there are some great places to walk outside our county, once again each one has been either created by the Geotrailing team or submitted by one of our readers.
Trails for everyone!
There are trails to suit all - young and old, the fit and not so fit, high and low level, long distance and the not so long. Each one is a great walk in its own right, but with added interest and fun. Each trail is graded and contains information on distance, height gain and conditions underfoot, how to use the trail and which map you will need.
Send us your trail and get published!
If you enjoy the experience and think you could create a trail for our readers, then please use our master template to send us a contribution. If it meets our criteria, we will put your trail up on our site and acknowledge your contribution.
